     The Lat Book In The Universe by Rodman Philbrick was about the struggles of a kid named Spaz.  Spaz’s job was to steal from other people to give to the gang that runs his latch- the Bangers.  While stealing from an old “gummy” named Ryter, Spaz realizes that it is wrong to steal from him.  When he gets the message from an illegal latch runner that his former foster sister Bean is sick, Spaz sets out for her.  Unfortunately, the latchboss Billy Bizmo won’t allow this.  Spaz does not care.  His love for Bean was so great that he went out despite the risk.  Just before he left the latch, he had a seizure but was saved by Ryter.  After being saved, he allowed Ryter to come along on his journey.  Ryter wanted to come along because he wanted to finish the book he was writing.  They travel through the Pipe, cross many latches and run into a proov girl along the way.  The proov girl named, Lanaya took Ryter, Spaz and the sickly Bean to Eden when they found Bean.  Luckily, the proovs cured Bean.  In the end, the Spaz’s latch was completely overrun by the anarchy and everyone had to fend for him or herself.  Sadly, Ryter dies.  Spaz continues his legacy by continuing his book.

     This book was an interesting book with many themes relating to the real world.  This book would be a great for someone who likes science fiction.  This book makes you compare the Philbrick’s imaginary world to the world today.  As, for the book itself, it can be confusing at times.  Philbrick has created a new set of lingo for his world.  While I was reading, I had trouble understanding it until I looked into the back of the book to find the glossary.  Overall, I say this book was great when you got into it.

Allot has changed in the book from chapter 1 to chapter 32.I feel that the book answered most of the questions that you created and some may never be answered.The book was mostly about Spaz and his friends.I wont tell you everything i will just summarize it for you.It all took place in a town were no one was normal they all had their minds probed besides two people.Their names were Spaz and Ryter.Their names were like nicknames.For Spaz it was because if he had a prob stuck in his head he would Spaz out and Ryter was because he was a writer from his own memory.Their whole adventure that they go on is just to save Spaz's little sister named Bean.She has been sick for a long time but now it has been coming back even worse than before.They meet a few friends along the way named Lanaya and the two people from Eden.Eden is a place that the grass is green and everything is perfect.The whole time that the are On their way to save Bean they would run into trouble.They have ran into gangs and fires and more trouble than you can imagine.they make it to were Bean lives and find her in a coma.They all want her better and healthy again but there is nothing the can do.Spaz is the only one who could think of something that they should bring her to Eden.They go with his plan.After they are on their way with Bean with them still in her coma they run into allot of trouble.They get past all the trouble and disobeyed allot of people especially Billy Bismo.Billy Bismo is the ruler of Spazes clan.After they get to Eden the two proovs in Eden diagnose Bean with leukemia.They say they cant help her but that isn't true because they eventually did.Bean has gained her health back and now they can go home.When Spaz gets back to his clan Billy wants to talk to him.One of the most interesting questions are answered.The answer was that Billy treats Spaz harshly because Billy is Spaz's father.This book was great and i would recommend it to anyone who likes adventurous books because it was just to good for words and full of drama and with one big adventure with lots of parts.

   A lot happened in the book The Last Book In The Universe By Rodman Philbrick. There were ups and downs in the book that I liked and disliked. The book was about Spaz, a normal with no parents, who works for the Bangers. He meets Ryter, an old guy with nothing but what he calls a 'book'. That is why the book is called The Last Book In The Universe. Spaz goes on a mission with Ryter and Lanaya, a genetically improved human, to save Spaz's sister Bean from dying. Spaz was told by a messenger that Bean was dying. When they made it to Bean, she was alive, but very fragile. She then went into a long sleep. Spaz, Ryter, and Lanaya bring Bean to Eden to see the green grass and the blue sky. When Bean wakes up from her long sleep, everyone was amazingly happy because they all thought that she was dead.   
   The book The Last Book In The Universe was a great book. I was a little confused in the beginning of the book when Ryter said the past, but then I realized what Ryter was talking about. The book was interesting because it took place in the future. If I were Spaz,  I would like to go to Eden also. I recommend this book for anyone that likes drama. This book was really great. I think that everyone will enjoy it.

Chapters 31 to The End of The Book

Refresh: It turns out that they save Bean from her blood disease.  Little Face gets saved by Lanaya's mother and father because Lanaya's mother, Bree, really liked Little Face. Even though she couldn't have him in Eden, she sneaks him in and keeps him.  
Chapter 31: When the latches go on fire, Ryter tells Spaz to save his book. Ryter didn't want his book to get burned.  I really can't believe that Billy Bizmo is Spaz's father. Did you think that? Because I sure didn't.
Chapter 32: When Ryter gets sucked into the crowd, Spaz tries to save him, but he doesn't save him because he can't. Ryter tells Spaz to save his book, so one day it will be published. Spaz tries to save Ryter when he is wheeled, but the Bangers keep pushing him off.  When the Bangers stop, Ryter is dead. He told Spaz, " You're the book now! You're the last book in the universe! Make it a good one!" That is the last thing Ryter ever said, and he said it to Spaz. 
Chapter 33: Spaz goes into Ryter's empty stackbox and he sees nothing. Not even the sheets of paper that Ryter called a 'book'. When Spaz was sleeping one night, someone came into his stackbox and told him a message: "Someone you know says, 'Chox!' and 'Don't forget me!' and 'Thank you!' and a whole lot more. He grows a little every day and we love him as our own.  Do not despair, my friend. Today is theirs, but the future is ours." He thinks it is Lanaya. It is true, he is Spaz no more... they now call him Ryter.    

Chapters 26- 31

     After suffering from a blood disease,  Bean, Spaz’s foster sister, has finally recovered due to injections that inproved her genes.  Even through Bean is really weak, Spaz is overjoyed to see that she is alive.  Ryter and Lanaya are almost as excited as Spaz.  Bean thought she was dreaming that she was in Eden.  Spaz  explains that they took her to Eden because that was the only way they could save her. 

    While in Eden, Lanaya’s “contributors”, or parents, took care of Spaz, Ryter and Little Face.  Lanaya’s contributor (father) Jin taught Bean how to play chess after she regained her strength.  Surprisingly, Bean beat Jin on her first try.  Jin was shocked and upset because since he was “perfect” he thought couldn’t lose.  Every game after that they tied.

    Lanaya’s other contributor (mother) Bree wanted to keep Little Face as her own son.  Most of the proovs were against having normals in Eden.  In fact, they were so against having the normals in Eden that they had to have a trial in the Stadium.  Lanaya tried to convince the other proovs that the normals were not much different from the proovs, but most of the proovs disagreed.  This resulted in Ryter, Bean, and Spaz having to return to their latches.  Ryter was optimistic about it but Spaz is upset.  A few hours later, the roar of the jetbikes are near.  What do you think is going to happen?

Chapters 21-26

In chapters 21-26 spaz makes it to his sister.He finds her lieing in bed asleep.The doctor comes and knows about her disease.She cant do much about it though.He thinks of a way that can help her and all he can come up with is to bring her to the safe land were the grass is green and the sky is blue.Everyone wants to help her but don't know how.That was the only thing they could think of.
                   The path to the safe land is risky and dangerous.The only one who knows the way is the doctor or healing person.She is the only one who they can depend on to save Spazes sister Bean.Spaz thinks that they will be able to save Bean ,however he does have his doughts.Their journey was hard but they still made it.They went from skies filled with fog to skies that are blue.
                   They first run into two people and the healing people know them.They give the two people Bean and hope they can help her.As they are waiting the two people are yelling at the healer because she is not allowed to bring normal people there.However they are still nice to them and help Bean.They put her in a clear box to see what is wrong with her.She is in there for some time until they find out what is wrong.
                        The machine said that she has a blood disease called Leukemia.Then Spaz starts to get all worked up because they say there is nothing they can do after they brought her all the way there.It was the worst time for Spaz because he had to see his sister like this.

Chapters 15-21

                   In chapters 15 through 21 of this book Spaz starts to like Lanaya more. I think this because he keeps on talking about how beautiful she is and how her voice is nice.  I also read that "URB" is Lanayas business. When Ryter, Spaz and Lanaya were all alone suddenly the Patrol vehicle approached them, they were both scared but Spaz didn't really know what was going at the time.  After the patrol was gone they were approached by a far more worse group of people they were approached by vandals with splat guns.  When you here splat guns you think of little toy gun that don't do anything but trust me its allot worse then that.
                    If you had been wondering were these three been going its to find Spaz's little sister bean. Its crazy i know and they are not even sure if she still lives there but i hope they do and i no Spaz hopes she does.  If you haven't already noticed that Spaz loves his little sister well now you do.  Still the three are surrounded by Vandals and you no that there scared but one of the Vandals wonders why there on there way to the latch so Spaz tells them that he is going to find his little sister.  Lotti one of the Vandals threatens to kill Spaz but he begs her not to so he can see his little sister just once.  Lotti looks at him and says that if he brings her a probe runner she will let him see his sister.
                    Spaz and his friends are on there way and Lanaya asks if she can get away with disobeying Lotti, but the answer is no. Now they are in there way to find a probe runner for Lotti so Spaz ca see his sister.  After a while they find  probe runner and they go to the Latch to find his sister.  Finally they find his sister and now you have to read to find out the rest.
